From the creators behind Lady Buckit & the Motley Mopsters comes a bold new animated series that’s set to push boundaries: Secrets of the Multiverse. Produced by Blessing Amidu, written by her daughter Emmanuella, and co-directed by Adebisi Adetayo with U.S. animator Robert Sledge, this is sci-fi with heart.
The show is a 13-episode adventure for pre-teens, diving into the multiverse when two children accidentally cross into dangerous dimensions. Their choices could save or destroy everything they hold dear. Along the way, themes of leadership, morality, sacrifice, and identity take center stage. It’s not just about surviving; it’s about the kind of person you become when everything’s on the line
One exciting thing is the team behind it. Emmanuella Amidu began writing the screenplay while still a teenager, showing early talent in storytelling. Then there’s Robert Sledge, who turned down other offers to work on this project because the story and characters deeply moved him. Between him, Adetayo, and the rest of the voice cast, including names like Kate Henshaw, Korede Lawal, Maryam Yarkasai, Fiyin Asenuga, and Akorede Bobo, it’s clear they’re aiming for something that resonates both in Nigeria and across the world.
Secrets of the Multiverse is expected to drop in two parts, the first in 2026, and the second early 2027. If you loved Lady Buckit, this is the sequel-vibe you’ve been waiting for: bigger stakes, deeper questions, and a multiverse of imagination.
